An ecosystem consist of both non-living and living factors. Abiotic= rain, sunlight, temperature, and minerals in the soil are non-living. Biotic= plants, animals, and bacteria are living. Abiotic and Biotic work together for an ecosystem to survive and flourish.
Change in Ecosystems Ecosystems change every day in small ways. Nature and Humans both cause changes that effect the ecosystem. The gradual growth of new organisms in an environment is called Succession. Primary Succession happens when a brad new ecosystem begins to grow. Secondary Succession happens when an ecosystem has been wiped and begins to generate itself and start anew.
